Welcome to Srilanka. You are greeted on arrival at Colombo Airport by our Representative at the Paging area of the Arrival Lobby. Later proceed to Singiriya, en-route visit Chillaw, Manvari temple and Muneswar temples, on arrival check into hotel, overnight stay at Sigirya. Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed by Lord Rama and till date this lingam is called as RamalingaShivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in the world named after Lord Rama. Muneswaram Lord Rama after his victorious battle left for Ayodhya in one of King Ravana’sVimanas. He felt he was being followed by BramahathiDosham as he killed King Ravana who was a Brahmin. He stopped the Vimana at this juncture because he felt at this place the “BramahathiDosham” was not following him. He descended from the Vimana and asked God Shiva for a remedy.God Shiva blessed Lord Rama and advised him to install and pray four lingams in Manavari,Thirukoneshwaram, Thiruketheeswaram and Rameshwaram in India, as the only remedy to get rid of the Dosham.

After breakfast proceed to Trincomlaee to visit one of the Shakti peetams - Shankari Devi temple, Tirukoneshwaram temples and city tour of Trincomalee. Overnight stay at Sigiriya Tirukoneshwaram Temple -The original Shankari Devi temple, said to be built by Ravana, was the first in the list of AshtaDasha (18) Shakti Pitas written down by AdiShankara, but its whole cliff was destroyed by Portuguese cannon balls. Only a pillar for commemoration is placed on that spot now. And it is believed that the original idol of the Goddess has been preserved and replaced, being venerated now in this nearby new Shankari Devi temple. ThiruKoneswaramwas built by Rishi Agastya on the instructions of Lord Shiv who was impressed by the devotion of King Ravana. This place is unique in this respect because the Lord built a temple for his devotee as a reward for his devotion. Lord Rama is believed to have offered his prayers here in order to get rid of the malediction of killing Ravana who was a Brahmin, meaning Brahmahasthi Dosham. Kanniya Hot Wells - One legend about Kanniya’s origin is that this is the place where King Ravan carried out the last rites for his mother. When he was unable to find water to duly perform the rites, his anger pierced his Trishulaintothe ground seven times. Water started gushing out immediately. The very hot water cooled down to the present degree when Ravana’s anger calmed down. The temperature of the water is different.

Visit an Ayurveda and Herbal Garden - At different points of time during the war both Rama and Lakshmana were hit by powerful arrows and fell unconscious. To bring them back to life, Hanuman was instructed to fetch the lifesaving herbs from Himalaya. Hanuman went to the hill, lifted the whole hill and brought it, as he was not able to identify the lifesaving herbs alone. Parts from the hill fell on five places in Sri Lanka, these herbs are wonder treatment to date Proceed to Kandy - Sri DaladaMaligawa - is the home of The Temple Relic (Sri DaladaMaligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site Evening Witness a Cultural Dance performance & Fire Walking, overnight stay at Kandy.

After Breakfast visit the City of Kandy - Panoramic view of the City – Traditional Craft centers, later proceed to NuwaraEliya - en route Visit the Tea gardens & the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, overnight at NuwaraEliya.

After Breakfast – visit Sita Amman Temple - the only Sita temple in the world (ASHOKA VANAM/VATIKA). A myth has it that Sitawas held captive in the Ashoka forests by Ravana. Check out the river which marks the spot where Sita prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her. Have you ever heard of the hanuman footprint in Sri Lanka On the rock face across the stream are footprints that are said to be of Lord Hanuman, when he came to save Sitha. one can visit Haggala Botanical gardens. later visit Divurumploa, Overnight stay at NuwaraEliya. Divurumpola: This is the place where Seetha Devi underwent “Agni Pariksha” (test). It is a popular place of worship among locals in this area. Divurumpola means place of oath in Sinhala. The legal system permits and accepts the swearing done at this temple while settling disputes between parties.

Transfer to Bentota Day at Leisure

Transfer to Mirissa Beach-Then back to Colombo After breakfast proceed to Colombo for city sightseeing Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple Kalubowila. This is the first Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka and also the only Panchamuga (five faced) Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka. It is the only temple in the world to have a chariot for Ajanyear. The chariot festival is held annually end Dec/ beginning of January. Hanuman’s mother is Anjan. Hanuman is known as Anjan + AiyarAnjaneyar in South India (Hamuman in North India). Kelaniya Buddhist Temple - After King Ravana’s death, Vibeeshana was coroneted as King of Lanka by Lakshmana at Kelaniya. There are murals enshrined outside the Buddhist temple depicting the crowning of Vibeeshana. The Kelani River is mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana and Vibeeshana palace was said to be on the banks of this river. The reason Lakshmana crowned Vibeeshana, was Kelaniya because Rama had to return to India as he had to continue his self-exile of 14 years to honor the commitment to his father, King Dasarath of Ajodhya. There exists as Buddhist temple and shrine for King Vibeeshana. Vibeeshana is considered one of the four guardian deities of Sri Lanka, overnight stay at Colombo.
