Ahobilam is a holy site in the Allagadda mandal of Kurnool district about 400 Km north west of Chennai in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Ahobilam Temple, dedicated to Lord Narasimha Swami, is the only temple where all the nine forms of the deity are worshipped. Ahobilam is the place where the lord Narashima killed Hiranyakasipu and saved Prahalada. Ahobilam is believed to be the middle of Adishesha who expands all over the Nallamalla Hills. Tirumala and Srisailam are believed to be the head and tail of Adishesha. The temple was built according to the Vijayanagara style of architecture and houses idols of all the nine forms of Lord Narasimha Swami.
On your arrival at Chennai, our company representative will welcome you. We will proceed to Ahobilam after a short briefing about the tour and breakfast. Check-in and lunch at Guest house in Ahobilam. After Lunch, we will travel by Jeep and visit the following lower Ahobilam temples for Darshan: 1. PAVANA NARASIMHA 2. BHARGAVA NARASIMHA After Darshan of the above Ahobilam temples, we will take you to Prahalada Varadhan temple, followed by dinner and overnight stay.
After Breakfast, we will visit the following upper Ahobilam temples for Darshan: 3. LAKSHMI NARASIMHA. Start trekking and Darshan the following temples. 4. KRODHA VARAHA NARASIMHA 5. JWALA NARASIMHA (From there you can see and Darshan Ugra Stambham hill point) 6. MALOLA NARASIMHA 7. KARANJA NARASIMHA After the Darshan, we will complete the trek and reach the point where we started. Thereafter, we will drive you to the lower Ahobilam and Darshan following temples: 8. YOGANANDA NARASIMHA 9. CHATRAVATA NARASIMHA After Darshan return to the Guest house for lunch and check out. We will drive you back to Chennai. Dinner will be provided on the way. Our tour ends at Chennai and we will bid farewell.
