Puri is one of the most sacred sites for Hindus in india, and is also called as Jagannath (Lord of the Universe) inferable from the outstanding Jagannath temple located here. Jagnnath implies “Ace of the World”. Puri is one of the four glorious Dhams of India – Puri, Dwaraka, Rameswaram, and Badrinath. It is believed that no spiritual journey toward enlightment is complete without visiting Puri. Since ancient times, Puri is known as “Sri Kshetra” and lord jagannatha Temple, deeply revered in Odisha, is known as “Badadeula” and propitiates hindhu Celestial Gods of Krishna/Vishnu/Rama. Odisha is known for its extrodinary Jagannath Temple in Puri. Lord Jagannath temple Yatra is attended by enormous number of devotees from all over the globe. The heaven is bounded by two compound walls, the external one is known as Meganatha Pracira and the internal one is known as Kurma Pracira. Splendid carvings and lovely sculptures are spread throughout the structure of the temple. Jagannath temple is fine specimen of Kalingas style of architecture. The famous temple for Lord Surya or the Sun God is located at Konark, about 35 km North East from Puri. This Kshetra is also called as Arka- Tirtha.

In the evening proceed to Darshan Puri Jagannath Mandir and flag hoisting. Dinner and overnight stay at Puri.
