Hindus visit Mount Kailash, a peak in the Himalayas, because it is considered to be the holiest of all pilgrimage sites in Hinduism. The mountain is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva, one of the most important deities in Hinduism. Pilgrims believe that a journey to Kailash, also known as Kailash Parvat or Kailash, can bring blessings and spiritual liberation. The trek to Mount Kailash is considered to be a difficult and challenging one, but many Hindus believe that the physical hardships of the journey are a form of spiritual discipline that can purify the mind and body.
Lake Manasarovar, located in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, is considered to be a sacred lake in Hinduism and Buddhism. According to Hindu mythology, the lake was created by the god Brahma and is considered to be a source of spiritual purification. It is believed that bathing in the lake can wash away one's sins and that drinking its water can grant salvation.
