Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The Temple stands on the western bank of the holy river Ganga, and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the holiest of Shiva Temples. The main deity is known by the names Shri Vishwanath and Vishweshwara (IAST: Vishveshvara) literally meaning Lord of the Universe. Varanasi city is also called Kashi in ancient time, and hence the Temple is popularly called as Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The etymology of the name Vishveshvara is Vishva: Universe, Ishvara: lord, one who has dominion.
Gaya is one of the best historical sites in India. Gaya is named after the demon Gayasur (meaning “the demon Gaya”). According to Vayu Purana, Gaya was the name of a demon (Asura) whose body became pious after he performed strict penance and secured blessings from Lord Vishnu. It was said that the body of Gayasura was transformed into the series of rocky hills that make up the landscape of Gaya.
Allahabad lies close to Triveni Sangam, the “three-river confluence” of the Ganges, Yamuna and Sarasvati rivers. It plays a central role in Hindu scriptures. The city finds its earliest reference as one of the world’s oldest known cities in Hindu mythological texts and has been venerated as the holy city of Prayaga in the ancient Vedas. Allahabad was also known as as Kosambi in the late Vedic period, named by the Kuru rulers of Hastinapur.
Arrive at Varanasi airport, transfer to hotel relax, after lunch visit Kalbhairav and Bindu Madhav Darshan. Night visit Ganga Arti, night halt at Hotel Shiva Grand (Home Prepared Food)
Morning Proceed to Kasi Viswanath, Visalakshi Annapurna, then have breakfast. Then Visit Srinath and Sankat Mochan Temples, Durga Temple, Geetha Bhavan, Chozhi Amman. Rest at Hotel Shiva Grand (Home Prepared Food)
We need to start sharp by 5.00am and drive to Allahabad. Have snanam at Triveni Sangamam have breakfast and Visit Alopi Matha Sakthi Peedam temple and Veni Madhav on the way have lunch at Allahabad and reach by evening 5.00pm, we will be visiting Nandigramam where Bharata ruled Ayodhya with paduka, Guptarghat where Rama left to Vaikundam on the way. Reach hotel dinner, night halt at Taraji resort (Hotel foods).
Moring after breakfast we will be visiting Ram Janma Bhoomi Dasarath Bhavan, Kaikeyi Bhavan after lunch proceed to Lucknow airport and return to Bangalore.
